1 year agoThe sky was patient today.
Streams of milky mist lingering lazily.
Fastidious fractions of blue appearing as a quiet reminder.
A gust of unexpected warmth surrendered like an unfinished sonnet.
Shadows sharing the light as they dance on trees.
How patient is your sky?

1 year agoHOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay ‘them.’
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3.Keep learning. ! Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever, even ham radio. Never let the brain idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ And the devil’s family name is Alzheimer’s.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.Your home is your refuge..
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don’t take guilt trips.. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them , at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

1 year agoBefore I went to Miami last Friday, I secured an appointment to be scrubbed and colored at Bliss. Due to my fair complexion and past solarized burns, it is imperative that I am lathered in 50SPF , wearing a hat that competes with my arm span and a sarong that covers my toes. My friend Kelly informed me about the scrub and color so that I could prance around looking like a golden Goddess for 48 hours without compromising my delicate skin. I loved it…the technician was sweet and careful not to miss any spots. I even let her put a little on my face. My anemic skin tone vanished for two days. As I was in the checkout line I spied a few sample containers. They were only 2.00 so I purchased six of the Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing mask.(their take-out version)
My Jet Blue flight out of La Guardia was at 6:00 AM Friday morning. My Godmother had called to tell me that it was dangerous to fly during the Swine Flu crisis- so perhaps I should reconsider my travel plans. I did not heed her warning. I was tan and wasn’t changing my plan. My buff and bronzed confidence was energizing.
I slept 3 hours that night and I was seated next to a couple from Torreon, Mexico.
While waiting for my coffee, I rummaged through my pocketbook to find some moisturizer and I pulled out one of my Bliss samples. I squirted some on my hands and rubbed it into my face. A few minutes later the flight attendent brought my water and coffee, but he glared at me in a peculiar way. The couple next to me looked horrified. My face was tingling- so I spritzed some rose water and then fell asleep.
When I awoke the flight attendant returned to gather our trash and accidentally, I dropped my plastic stirrer on the woman’s arm seated next to me. She whispered something to her husband and furtively slipped her hand into her purse and pulled out santizer, then lathered her hands and forearms- I pretended to be engrossed by our flight pattern on my mini-screen.
That night, when I was getting ready to go out to dinner, I washed my face and then applied my OxygenMask. As it was seeping into my pores I brushed my teeth and within 30 seconds I saw a thick layer of white foam growing on my face. It looked like I applied shaving cream. Then it dawned on me - why the flight attendent and the couple on the plane looked at me like I was the sole carrier of a rare flu virus. I had never used this product before and I had no idea how quickly it activated the second it is on your skin. I looked like a rabid dog. After having a good laugh, I washed off the mask and my skin felt so smooth, so soft.
I am in love love love with this mask. I used it twice a day in Miami(I know that sounds like overkill) but my skin felt fantastic. It has Vitamin C, fluidO2, NaPCA and EUK-134 free radical busters-not sure if that means it would eradicate swine flu - but it brightens, lightens and tightens. Give it a whirl- just don’t use it on your next transcontintental flight.

1 year ago1 year agoLook at every path closely and deliberately. Does this path have heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn’t.
One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.
A path without heart is never enjoyable. You have to work hard even to take it. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy, it does not make you work at liking it.”
